FRICKE, Mary Louise, 88 of Oakwood passed away Friday, August 17, 2012. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband whom she married in 1942, James E. Fricke Sr. in 1987 and her parents Harry J. and Alice (Hayward) Schwartz. Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jim and Linda Fricke of Marion, IN, her daughter Mary Lou Fricke of Dayton, her grandson A.J. Fricke of Indianapolis, IN, her sister Marge Zavakos of Sandpoint, ID, two nephews and one niece. She was a 1941 graduate of Stivers High School, had worked at Winters Bank and later Bank One. She was one of the first women promoted to manager status in Dayton. After retiring from banking, she earned her real estate license and was a realtor for many years. She was the former Treasurer for the Oakwood Historical Society, member of the Pilot Club, and volunteered at Miami Valley Hospital. She was quite an athlete in her younger years, and enjoyed bowling, outdoor sports and antiques. Mary’s family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Tuesday, August 21, 2012, starting at 10:30 am followed by a Celebration of her life at 12 noon.
