CAMPBELL, Mary Hazel, age 97 of Kettering, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014. She was born October 26, 1917 in Madison Mills, Ohio to the late Walter and Pearl (Seaman) Peterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Hobart Campbell January 10, 1997, her sisters Marie McCoy and Ann Mackey, and brother Ralph Peterson. She was baptized age 12 at Mt Zion Church of Christ and was a faithful long-term member of East Dayton Christian Church. She had a long career and worked at Woolworth Food’s, NCR, where she was truly “Rosie the Riveter” building bomb sights for WWII aircraft, and retired from Wilbur Wright High School cafeteria staff in 1979. She is survived by her son William Bruce Campbell, daughter in-law Rosalie Kay Campbell, daughter Patricia Lea Campbell, grandson and his wife Matthew and Sonya Stover, and great-grandchildren Peter and Lily Stover. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd at Grange Hall Rd. with interment to follow in Mt Zion Shoup Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Monday, December 22. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
