O’Neil, Marjorie Ann “Margie” age 90 of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 at her residence. Margie was born on September 23rd, 1931 in Glandorf, Ohio to the late Arthur and Gertrude Tennissen Schroeder. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Schulte (Robert), Jane Schroeder, and Mary Ann Schroeder. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, James F. O’Neil; sisters, Alice Spangler (Lee), Ruth Altstaetter, Carole Kelly; brothers, Jim Schroeder (Ginny), Ronald Schroeder (Liz); children, James F. O’Neil Jr., Joseph A. O’Neil, Mary A. Pierson (Mark), Ann E. Scott (Sean), and Molly M. O’Neil; grandchildren, Maggie L. O’Neil, Jack H. Pierson, Alaina E. Pierson, Marina L. Kazusky, and Mariana P. O’Neil; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Marjorie was a registered nurse (RN). She went to St. Rita’s for her nursing education in Lima, Ohio. She worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio from 1954-1960. Margie met her husband, James, through James’s brother (Jack) and her nursing roommates. When they picked up James from work, it was love at first sight. James loved Margie’s sweet disposition and kind soul, and the rest was history. From that day forward, Margie put her family first. She was a selfless, compassionate, amazing mother and grandmother. Margie always made sure to make everyone’s happiness a priority, lighting up the lives of those around her. Her happiest moments were with her husband, children, and grandchildren as this was when she felt the most complete. Funeral service is at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 12th, 2022, at the Tobias Funeral Home— Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45429. Father Larry Mick officiating.
