PRICE, Marie E. (Taylor), 96 passed away September 13, 2018. She was born at home on December 13, 1921 to the late Owen and Elizabeth Taylor, the 3rd of 4 children. She attended Julienne High School graduating in 1940. She met her beloved husband, Harry Price, in September 1940 and they were married on November 21, 1942. After nearly 54 happy years of marriage, Harry passed away on October 16, 1996. Marie was also preceded in death by her precious daughter, Barbara Monnin in 2012. In 2000 she lost her lovely daughter-in-law, Patricia Price, who was like a daughter to her. In 1979 she lost a beautiful infant granddaughter, Melissa Kierstead, who only lived 23 hours. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Lawrence (Larry) Taylor, formerly of New York City and William (Bill) Taylor of Syracuse N.Y. and Holden Mass. and “Bobby” an infant. Also two sisters-in-law, Valeen Marion of Oceanside Ca. and Jean Taylor of Syracuse N.Y. and a nephew Steve Taylor also of Syracuse. Marie worked at St. Mark Bookshop for 13 years, a job that she dearly loved, retiring at age 88 in 2009. Marie and Harry were Ballroom and Square Dancers for many years. Marie also was an avid and successful amateur genealogist for over 25 years, finding many interesting stories and people in her family tree. Marie is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sharon Price of Bellbrook, Daniel and Paula Price of Centerville and a daughter and son-in-law, Marilee and Patrick Kierstead of Miamisburg and 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike on September 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Father Brian Phelps and Father Tom Schmidt officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the Mass. Marie desires no flowers.
