OILER, Lynette (Lyn), passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2017 following a long illness. She is survived by her devoted mother, Bernice Oiler-Miller of Dayton, Ohio; her brother, Gregory Oiler of San Diego, California, her nieces Stephanie Washburn of Marysville, Washington and Niki Oiler of Arlington, Washington, and her loving partner, Richard H. June of Cincinnati, Ohio Born in Dayton, Ohio to Bernice and Ralph Oiler (deceased) on January, 20, 1955, Lyn was raised in Dayton and graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1973. She went on to graduate from the University of Dayton in 1977 with a B.S. in Management and Marketing. She began her career in media advertising in Cincinnati, Ohio where she worked for Warm 98 and WUBE. In 1997 she moved to San Francisco and joined the Auto Trader Co. as an account executive. She returned to Cincinnati in 2004, to care for her mother and ailing step-father, Warren E. Miller (deceased), and joined Channel 12, eventually becoming an account executive with I Heart Media, where she was working at the time of her passing. Lyn was a beautiful person inside and out with a dedication to the Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Symphony and a general love for the Arts. Her faith, and heart for the underserved and elderly led her into service at “Meals on Wheels”, Crossroads Community Church, Community United Methodist Church, and several animal shelters. She was also an active supporter of the Cincinnati Brain Tumor Center. She was an avid runner, completing five Marathons from Hawaii to New York and numerous other races. She loved hiking, the seashore in Cape Cod and California and all of God’s creation. Her beautiful smile and gracious manner created a large and lasting network of friends, who, along with her family, mourn her passing. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 10 at the Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek (Dayton), Ohio; 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Dayton, Ohio 45432. . Her Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 pm. at the Community United Methodist Church; 339 Meyer Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45431. The service will also be preceded by a visitation at the church beginning at noon.
