Wilson, Louise G, passed away February 3rd following a brief illness. She was born April 2, 1924 in Corning, Arkansas to Louise Patient and Arthur Brown Gallegly. She graduated from Arkansas State Teachers’ College (now named University of Central Arkansas) with a degree in Home Economics. She married Louis T. Wilson, a vivacious sailor she met at a dance at Current River Beach! He preceded her in death in 1989. They were loving parents of Louisa Ann and Robert Louis and doting grandparents of Amy Louise Landis (Jesse). After moving to Washington Township in 1965, Louise taught pre-school at her church, Christ United Methodist. She was active in, and enjoyed her time with, UMW and Priscilla Circle. Following her retirement, she enjoyed taking water aerobics classes at Washington Township Recreation Center, volunteering at Kettering Hospital gift shop, and giggling and traveling with her late sister, Bess Jane Hanson. The family is grateful for the loving care she received at Brookhaven Nursing Center and Hospice of Dayton. Her funeral will be at David’s Cemetery Chapel at noon on Thursday, February 17th, 2022. Rev. Dr. Richard Baker Jr. will officiate. Masks are requested. Burial at David’s Cemetery will follow the service.
