Laura C. Smith

SMITH, Laura C., age 85 of Kettering, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Smith; parents, Russell and Bonnie Hanger, and brother, Bill Hanger. She is survived by her sons, Dean (Maxine) Smith, Scott (Kathy) Smith; daughter, Deborah (Bill) Morgan, and 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Laura was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Kettering where she had taught Sunday School for many years. She had the ability to find the good in everyone, was a great listener and was someone you would be proud to call your mother, grandmother, or friend. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Kettering, 3939 Swigart Rd. with Rev. James Gifford officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday, December 21. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Kettering. Services have been entrusted to the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL.
