KAVANAUGH, Karen L., age 62 of Oakwood passed away peacefully on June 6, 2014. She was born in Dayton, Oh. on October 28th, 1951. She graduated from Meadowdale High School and Sinclair Community college. Karen was employed by Hallmark Title as a Closing Agent and was active in the Dayton real estate community for more than thirty years. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Phyllis Lam of Trotwood and Brother-In-Law Ray Kavanaugh (Lafayette, In.) Karen is survived by her husband of 30 years, Frank Kavanaugh and children Scott M. Kavanaugh (Columbus) and Laura K. Kavanaugh (Cincinnati), her brother Greg Lam (Englewood) and her beloved Buster. She is also survived by her Brother/Sister in Laws Tom and Jo Kavanaugh (Dayton), John and Susan Kavanaugh (Dayton), Kevin and Tammy Kavanaugh (Brunswick, Ga.), Sister In Laws Judy Rechberger (Lafayette, In.) and Debbie Lam (Englewood) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd., Dayton, OH 45429 on Wed., June 11, 2014 from 5-8 pm. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Funeral Service will be private Thursday at the convenience of the family.
