She passed peacefully at home on Monday Jan. 9th, 2023.
She was born on March 18,1955 to the late Paul F. Wallischeck and Janet Lou Wallischeck of Greenville Ohio. Judy is survived by her husband Rick, her Sister Paulette Devor (Chuck), her children Rita, Mike (Magan), Jannette Belmar (Dan). Rick’s siblings Bill (Charlene), Barbara, Peggy Lalk (Willie), Tim (Janet), Jim (Ann), Forrest (Diana), Fred (Jean), Janet Sorrell (Brent), Mary Schutt (Rob), and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
Judy attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and Greenville High School in Ohio. After graduating, Judy continued her education at Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio. She received her associate degree in nursing in 1976. Judy quickly passed her exam and became a Registered Nurse. After raising her 3 children she went back to school and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Graceland College in 2001. Judy also earned a Masters degree in Nurse management from Walden University in 2007. She believed in continuous and lifelong learning.
Judy’s career began with over twenty years as a CCU nurse at Community Hospital in Springfield, Ohio (night shift). She earned her CCRN credentials and has kept it current for over 30 years. After moving to Texas she worked as an RN in a number of different hospitals. She was also part of the EPIC build team where she helped set up the MyChart patient documentation system that is used by many hospitals today. Judy also worked in Med surge nurse management and many years at North Cypress Hospital as the manager of their education dept. She also enjoyed her work as the retention specialist and as an Adjunct Professor at Tomball’s Lone Star College school of nursing. Her natural gift was always serving people which was exemplified through mentoring and being preceptor to many nurses, sharing the wisdom and experience from being an RN for 46 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting to honor Judy’s commitment to education by supporting scholarships at Lone Star College Foundation. Donations will help others receive the education they need and honor her memory. Family will be notified of your gift and the amounts of your donations will be kept private.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek. Fr. Jason Bedel celebrant. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. on Thursday, January 19.
