HORAN, John (Jack), age 89 of Centerville passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Born February 4, 1926 in New York City. He is survived by Jean his loving wife of 64 years, nephew Brian Moore of Dayton, nieces Karen Moore of California, Pat Gonzales and Linda Ward of New York, great nephews Christopher (Debbie) and Timothy Gonzales, great great nephews Matthew, Aaron and Justin also of New York. Jack served in WWII as an aviation radio man on a Navy torpedo bomber. He had a TV service shop in New Jersey for 40 years and taught woodworking at Hithergreen Senior Center for 22 years. He will be cremated and the family will receive friends for ½ hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Kettering at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015. Graveside service Dayton VA National Cemetery 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society.
