FLOHR, John Charles “Jack”, Sr., age 74, of Kettering, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011. Jack was born August 5, 1932 in Cincinnati to Charles John Flohr and Mildred A. Niemeier. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Leonard C. Flohr. He married the love of his life, Mary Lou Dobbelhoff, on December 29, 1955 on a beautiful snowy day. He is also survived by his children, John C. (Linda L.) Flohr, Jr. of Cincinnati, Tamara A. (Flohr) Heffron of Kettering, Kimberly A. (Alan P.) Schroeder of Dayton, Linda L. (David A.) Robeson of Kettering; and Richard C. Flohr of Kettering; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and his sister, Marilyn Phelps. Jack graduated from Roger Bacon High School at the age of 16 and later graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. He owned and operated Kirby Pharmacy, in the heart of Mt. Airy for 18 years and later worked for Rite Aid until his retirement. Jack was a loving devoted husband and father, who enjoyed spending time with his family. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45429 and from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave., Kettering, Ohio 45429, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Albert the Great Parish.
