Jeanne M Lavoie

Born Aug. 31, 1937, she was married to the love of her life, Robert (Colonel, USAF, Ret.), for 55 years before his passing in 2014. She is survived by four sons -- Steve (Laurie), Dennis (Kim), Timothy and Kevin (Donna); her sister, Ann Hartman of Pearland, Texas; sister-in-law Dayna Gleeson of Friendswood, Texas; seven grandchildren (Megan, Chelsea, Paige, Jay, Rob, Celia and Olivia) and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brothers (Jerry and Tommy Gleeson) and parents (Michael and Lucille Gleeson).

A voracious reader, Jeanne enjoyed talking about books and going out for meals with her children and their families. She was a 44-year member of The Church of the Incarnation, and her Catholic faith was very important to her. Jeanne enjoyed playing bridge with friends and traveling, particularly to Hawaii. Nothing brought her more joy than enjoying a cocktail and laughing with family. Cheers and rest in peace, sweet Mother.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 13, 6-8 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Incarnation Church, 55 Williamsburg Ln., Centerville.
