Jean R Langhout

Jean Rasor Langhout, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 14th. She was born May 27, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to Frank and Frances Rasor. She met her husband of 50 years, Kenneth J. Langhout, while attending The Ohio State University (OSU) and married on December 16, 1954 in Columbus. Ken preceded her in death in 2004. She was a 1949 graduate of the Columbus School for Girls (CSG) and graduated with honors in 1954 from OSU College of Dentistry Division of Dental Hygiene. She was a lifelong member of the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene honorary and Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She enjoyed her hobbies related to plants and gardening. In addition, Jean contributed to others and her community through her active membership with both the Memorial Presbyterian Church as Elder, Deacon and member of the Women’s Circle, and as a member and volunteer with Dayton Women’s Civic Club.

In addition to her husband, Jean is preceded in death by her parents Frank B. Rasor, DDS and Frances (Jones) Rasor, Brother Frank B. Rasor, Jr., son Mark B. Langhout, and grandson Nathan D. Langhout. She is survived by daughters Sandra Langhout and Kristen (Chris) Langhout-Beckner, granddaughters Ericka (Nate) Kohrs, Jeanette and Olivia Accorinti, granddaughter-in-law Darlene (Eddie) Langhout Nelson, and greatgrandchildren Charlotte and Patrick Kohrs, and Elise, Abbey and Natalie Langhout.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Memory Lane at The Trinity Community at Beavercreek and Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for their loving care of Jean in her last months and days.

Friends may visit with the family at Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel on May 27th 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, Sandra and Kristen request donations to The Trinity Community at Beavercreek’s Comfort Matters Program
