NEWTON, Janice I., passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Oaks of West Kettering. She was born August 17, 1925 in Jefferson City, MO to the late William and Bessie (Woodall) Wycroff. Aside from her loving parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Adams Newton. She is survived by a son, Jim ( Judy) Newton of Waynesville, OH; three daughters, Sharon Crider of Mineral Bluff, GA, Kathy(Mike) Glynn of Kettering, OH, and Debra (Bryan) Smith of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Joan Silver of Kettering . Janice was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church for 30 years, and prior to that was a member of Linden Avenue Baptist Church. She worked as a sales clerk for Rikes and Lazarus for 10 years; she always enjoyed looking her best and had an eye for fashion. She was a devoted mother and wife who enjoyed gardening and cooking delicious meals for her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 12PM at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave, Dayton, OH 45420. Interment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service on Monday.
