James C. “JC” Fraley age 88 of Kettering, Ohio, passed away March 15, 2021, at VA Hospice after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. James was born on June 29, 1932 in Newfoundland, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 63 years Hazel Fraley and one grandchild, Ashley.
He is survived by two children; son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Toni Fraley; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Scott Davis; four grandchildren, Angel (John) Harney; Melissa Fraley; Nick Davis; and Brittany (Zak) Ingraham; and seven great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Spencer, Zac, Breanna, Makenzie, James Scott and Brooklyn.
James was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple and a Korean Army Veteran. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and served with the 121st Evacuation Hospital as an Operation Room Technician during the Korean War. James also retired from General Motors after 40 years.
He loved southern gospel music, attending church, and making joyful memories with friends and family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and served his family and others well.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 19,2021 beginning at 1:30 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1707 Ohmer St., Dayton, OH 45410 with Pastor Charles Webb officiating. Burial to follow Valley View Memorial Gardens.
