Joseph William Hughes Tremblay, age 84, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away on February 1, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marie-Paule Tremblay; brother, Jocelyn Tremblay and sisters, Diane and Claudine Tremblay. He is survived by his loving wife, Doreen Tremblay; sons; Robert P. (Dawn) Tremblay, Jean-Phillipe (Danielle) Tremblay and Stephen (Jennifer) Bellhorn and grandchildren, Robert P. Tremblay Jr., Alexis and Aaron Bellhorn and Brayden Tremblay. Joseph was born in La Baie, Canada where he excelled in both hockey and child-choir. He received a full scholarship to Manhattan School of Music where his love of music flourished. He went on to sing Opera with The Philadelphia Opera Company; put on a concert for a French Ambassador and had the honor of performing The National Anthem at multiple venues including Madison Square Garden and for many sports teams including The Philly 76ers, NJ Devils and The Mets. His love of music followed him to New Jersey where he utilized his talents as the music director for Old Bridge Community Chorus; choir director for Calvary Baptist Church and even met his future wife, Doreen, at a piano bar in NJ. He had many others interests, such as his love of model trains and capturing beautiful photographs of steamships. Over the years Doreen and Hughes traveled in their Miata all over the United States and Europe, sampling his favorite treat along the way, chocolate. He was also an excellent skier and loved boating. Hughes will be remembered for the endless love he had for his family and friends along with his multifaceted talents. A celebration of life will be held in Hughe’s honor on Monday, February 10, 2025 between 3 and 7pm at Rosewood Manor, 650 Benner Rd, Miamisburg, OH 45342.
