Pruitt, Howard Dale, age 59, of Dayton, lost his lengthy battle with cancer on Sunday, August 20, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Nola Ferne (Whittaker) Pruitt in 1996. Howard Dale is survived by his father, Howard Thomas Pruitt; his sister, Diane Levi; a nephew, Darrell M. and wife, Becky Levi; a niece, Mindy and husband, Derek Turton; great nieces and nephews, Ben and Calvin Levi, Lola, Ella and Nora Turton. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Skittles and Sophie. He was a graduate of Patterson Co-op High School in 1976 and was a 1991 graduate of Wright State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business with Honors and an award from the President of the United States. Dale was employed for 40 years at Miami Valley Hospital and was a faithful and loyal member of The Eternal Joy Metropolitan Community Church where he served as an officer on the Board of Directors. The Pruitt family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Riverside Paramedics for the unconditional care and support shown to them. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at The Eternal Joy Metropolitan Community Church, 20 West 1st Street with Pastor Joy Simpson officiating. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Final resting place will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
