Gregory Scott Slagle age 53, passed away on June 18, 2024. Gregory bravely fought cancer and severe autoimmune issues during his lifetime and it is with deep sadness that the family makes this announcement. Gregory was born on September 8, 1970 in Troy, Ohio to parents Larry Joe and Marilyn Kay (Drake) Slagle who preceded him in death as well as his friend, John Mudd.
Gregory is survived by his best friend, Mark Dow; his sister, Gayle Lynette (Slagle) Horton; and her children, Abigayle L (William) Wilbanks, Andrew D. (Taylor R.) Horton; brother, Grant Allen (Rachel) Slagle and certainly last but not least, his beloved dog and companion “Tucker.” Gregory had many friends and was a loving brother and uncle.
Gregory graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with an Aerospace BA Degree. He loved “Tucker” and flying. His best friend, Mark has said it best, “Greg had a passion for flying and took great pride in safely piloting passengers to their destination. He had a remarkable talent for fixing things and could dismantle and reassemble a car with ease. He was an incredibly kind, intelligent, and humorous man who would go to great lengths to help his family and friends.” Watching movies as well as eating and socializing with family/friends were Greg's favorite pastimes.

A Celebration of Life to honor his memory will be held in Dallas, Texas at a later date. Arrangements by Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel.
