Gladys I. Crawford, age 94 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Brookhaven Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Red” Crawford in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her sister Gail Brooks and brother Will Tom Brooks. She is survived by a son, Jeff Crawford and wife Kathy, a granddaughter, Sheena, and great-grandson, Hunter. Two siblings survive her: Ruth Lampert of Bluefield Va. and Helen Chapman and husband Gene of Tuscon Az. and many nieces and nephews. She has many friends that have given her a lot of support through the years from the old Christian Tabernacle Church, Dayton Ohio, the Patterson Park Church, Beavercreek, Ohio and the Amateur Trap Shooting Association. Gladys was born December 8, 1921 in Bluefield, VA to James and Nannie Brooks; she was a graduate of Graham High School and attended McLain Business College. There were two people in her life that Gladys truly and dearly loved, that was her grandaughter Sheena and the very special LOVE of her life, her great grandson, HUNTER, who was her life and inspiration. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM at the funeral home.
