Gerald Malone

Malone, Gerald, age 83 of Springboro, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Gross Malone, in 2003 and daughter, Connie Foster, in 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Dora Higgins and Bud Malone, four sisters: Daisy Hauersperger, Grace Smyth, Madeline Malone, Florida Haney, and two brothers; Tom and Howard Malone. He is survived by one son, Mike Malone and wife Jana and one sister, Ada Peters. Four grandchildren also survive him: Kristen Ohr and husband Joe, Alison Malone, Greg Malone and Michelle Heminger and husband Justin, and two great grandchildren: Madeline Ohr and Fiona Heminger and niece Jill Howard, as well as other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Gerald was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and was retired from Delco products after over 40 years of service. His greatest joy throughout his life was spending time with family and friends and his most recent years were enjoyed at the lake house with his best buddy, Caesar. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – Beavercreek Chapel from 5-8 PM on Wednesday evening, February 5. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
