George was born to Richard Crossley and Martha Hunter, June 26, 1938, in Wilmington, Ohio. He married Theresa Pauline Sowards, July 27, 1964, and they lived together in Kettering, Ohio. This July, they would have been celebrating their 55 year wedding anniversary. Together they raised 3 children.
He leaves as his legacy 3 children: oldest son, Anthony W Crossley, and twins, David M Crossley and Betty J Crossley-Stanley. His children remember him as a hard-working and loving father. They broke the mold when they made him. He loved to spend time with all three riding motorcycles, out running them, dancing and working on cars.
He also leaves as his legacy 4 grandchildren: Amanda Montgomery (Tyler), Brittany Jewell (Jason), Anthony Crossley, and Ryan Crossley Bishop. They blessed him with 4 great grandchildren and 1 bundle of joy on the way: (Amanda’s) Addisyn and Tessly, (Brittany’s) Kynlie and Hudsen.
He was preceded in death by Richard Crossley, father; Martha Hunter, mother; and Juanita Crossley (Hall), sister.
George had many friends that he considered family. He would do anything in the world for anybody. He cherished his memories and enjoyed making new ones.
George was a skilled trade mechanic at Chrysler until he retired in 1996. Where he also service as a Union Stewart for IUE Local 775 to represent other skilled tradesmen. He served in the United States Air Force as mechanic. He was also a past Mason member of the Mystic Lodge #405 in Dayton, Ohio; current member of the Beavercreek Moose Lodge for past 20+ years; and Moose Riders. George also held school athletic records in track at Wilmington High School.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Friday, May 10, 2019 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Beavercreek Chapel. Burial will follow at the Valley view memorial Garden Cemetery. Family to receive friends one hour prior to the service.
