Wow - so amazing - I remember the first interaction that George and I had at NCR.  Probably 1994....He looked at me like "what's this kid doing here" and after a few minutes and a few pointers here and there - we became good friends.  He always said I taught him all he knew about Excel - but in reality, much I know about business and about life I learned from him.  From golf to working on computers until 3AM....George was a great friend - and a good man.  He will be missed and that smile will never be forgotten.

Marilyn, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I was deeply saddened when I heard of George's passing.  Met George 25+ years ago at NCR and he has always been a good friend and he will be greatly missed.  My prayers are with you and all of his family.

To all of George's family please know that my thoughts and prayers are with each of you.  Over the last thirty two years I learned through George and Marilyn a bit about each of you.  We met in Hilton Head Island in 1984 and saw each other for 24 years thereafter at our timeshares.  Yes I played against that chop shot many of times and watched  George in competition using that wicked slice/chop.  His smile was contagious, his mannerisms gentle and kind. George was a wonderful friend to me and he will be missed.

Sorry to hear of George's passing.  Our prayers are with his family. I enjoyed playing tennis with George and on his teams in GMVTA.  I will always remember the extreme action on his serves and forehand slice that made me look ridiculous when trying to return them.

I'v known George since the ninth grade at Van Buren school then we graduated together at Fairmont High School and we have been friends ever since.Thats about sixty-six years and you couldn't ask for a better friend.I sure will miss him

I met George while playing Pickleball, and it is rare to find someone with such a love of life and friends. George was a joy to be around on the courts, and was always ready to help teach others. We have lost an amazing man, but he will forever be part of the South Dayton Pickleball Family

Although I've just met George over the past 6 years, we've played tennis and golf together and we just got along great, it was a pleasure being around him. He was excited that my daughter was headed to UC to play golf this fall and we played together many times, always a good time and memories. We'll miss him and there will always be a little part of me that was inspired by George. God Bless.

It was certainly a shock to hear about George's passing; he was so vibrant, especially when talking and organizing GMVTA & USTA tennis in our area- you could tell he loved the game. He will be tremendously missed.  Deepest sympathy to his family.

Remembering George's smile as he looked "over" my cubicle in his easy manner.  He is truly one of the good memories of my 38 years at NCR.  He loved talking about his children as they grew...a proud father.  He will be missed by many.

As a long time league tennis player and team captain in the Dayton area, I respected and liked George for his hard work on the leagues and for always being friendly and classy as a team captain.  He will be missed.

I met George when I joined the NCR softball team many years ago.  I was only 24 years old, George was approx. 50 years old at the time.  When I later quit when I was around 32 years old, George was still playing.  Always enjoyed his smile and attitude.  Memories of having a beverage or two after the games in the Old River parking lot or on Friday night's at McDiggers.  Hate that I lost touch with George and Marilyn after I quit to raise a family.

I transferred into NCR Dayton in the early 70's and had many opportunities to ask George for advice, especially in the equipment inventory data base.  He was always so upbeat and friendly.  I'm sure that his golfing buddies are ready for some heavenly golf with him.

I've known George since his days at NCR on the softball fields and through DIAA golf team which he captained the last years that it existed.  We continued to play in many golf scrambles through the years.  He will be missed...
