AUSTIN, Gene Louis, Sr., passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Lou (Kuntz) Austin, two daughters, one son, four grandsons and one sister as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was a prominent Dayton businessman for many years and the president and owner of a wholesale distributing company and a real estate corporation. There will be no viewing. Family and friends may pay their last respects beginning at 9 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 411 East Second St. Dayton, OH prior to the 10 am Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 26, 2016.
