Schwartz, Fred (Freddy), age 84, of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Miamisburg, OH on November 12, 1933, the son of William and Josephine (Friedrich) Schwartz, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty and Clare. Freddy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sylvia (Allen) Schwartz, of Miamisburg; his sister, Virginia Schwartz, of PA; nieces and nephews, Kay Sanders, Jayne (Gary) Worrell, Francine (Bob) Friers, Steve Wooten, Ronnie (Deborah) Wooten, Debbie (Mike) Bailey. Fred is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends. He was retired from General Motors and was a graduate of Miamisburg High School, Class of 1952. Freddy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was an avid U.K. fan and golfer. Freddy was our Angel here on Earth and will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew him. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the many caregivers and Heartland Hospice for the love and care shown to both Fred and the family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the St. James United Methodist Church, 401 Carlwood Drive, Miamisburg with Pastor R. Stuart Rammes officiating. Interment will follow in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to either Heartland Hospice of St. James United Methodist Church in memory of Freddy.
