He is also preceded in death by his sister, Polly Ann Fields.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Pat. Also surviving are daughters, Kathy (Keith) Combs of Bellbrook and Laura Stevens (Steve Binder) of Oakwood; grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew, Lauren and Alex.
He served in the U.S. Army after graduating from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee in 1962. He was transferred to Dayton, Ohio by his employer, L.M. Berry in 1973 and retired in 1999. His love of children could be seen in his volunteer work, coaching, and teaching. He served as a volunteer at Daybreak Runaway Shelter and at CASA, both in Dayton.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Memorial Services will immediately follow beginning at 6:00 pm.
