Frank Mills

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Peggy Mills, and their children Sherry (Edward) Pearson, Karen (Keith) Trimble, and Patricia (Johnny) Smith; his three grandchildren Timothy (Jessica) Trimble, Christopher Trimble, and Samantha Pearson; one great grandchild Caitlyn Faye Trimble, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Virgie and Joseph; his brothers Ed Mills, Bill Mills, Robert Mills, and Orville Mills; and his sisters Sylvia Hiner and Goldie Goble.

Frank served his country in the military, beginning November of 1956, and served in the Army until November of 1958. He retired from General Motors after over 30 years of employment. Frank was a member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church, and was very involved in music ministry. He would play guitar with the choir, and was a former member of a Christian band where he was also a lead singer. Frank was a wonderful and loving husband and father.

A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church, 2405 Harshman Rd. in Dayton, Ohio, officiated by Hollie VanHoose. Family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at church. Interment is to follow the service on Saturday at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 N. Valley Rd, Xenia, Ohio 45385. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420 or to Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church, 2405 Harshman Rd, Dayton, OH 45424 in honor of Frank.
