Forrest David McMichael, age 97 of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Theresa L. McMichael, sisters Annabelle Detrick and Geneva McMichael, brother Junior McMichael, nephew Robert E. Detrick and son-in-law Larry Fleming. Forrest is survived by his son David and wife Karen and their son John McMichael, daughter Diane Fleming and her sons William and wife Chelsea McMichael and their son Grayson and daughter Scarlett, Chris and his wife Felicite Lilly and their son Ethan, and niece Jenny (Edward) Rauch. Forrest was born in Dayton on August 19, 1918 to the late Carl and Mabel (Hall) McMichael. He attended Beavercreek High School and was a WW II Veteran of the US Army Air Corps, serving in the Pacific Theater. He retired from WPAFB following a 36 year career. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church and a former member of Linden Ave. Baptist Church. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd on Thursday evening, June 23 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion Church, 428 Shepherd Rd, Xenia, OH 45385 at 11 AM Friday, June 24. Friends may also call at the church on Friday morning from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
