Evelyn D Johnson

JOHNSON, Evelyn D., age 92, of Centerville, passed away on June 5, 2012. She was born to the late Walter and Julia (Hoyer) Delscamp on January 1, 1920 in Dayton, OH and was a graduate of Stivers High School. Evelyn, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, was a homemaker, an avid bridge player and a longtime member of First Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter (Bud) R. Delscamp (Annette) and her beloved husband, Paul E. Johnson. She is survived by her son, Stephen A. Johnson (Kathryn); her daughter, Paula S. Price (Bill); her grandchildren, Amy M. Johnson; Gregory M. Johnson; Brian D. Shade and Michelle N. Shade; sister-in-law Louise Stephenson and nephews and nieces Gary Delscamp; Denise (Delscamp) Clarke (Bob); Jim Stephenson (Cyndy); Barb (Stephenson) Moore (Mike); Cathy Johnson and Todd Johnson (Cathy). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Evelyn’s memory to Bethany Village or to your favorite charity. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 15, 2012, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel with Reverends Bob Swanson and Bob Ashburn officiating, followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Bethany Village staff, which provided loving care to Evelyn for the past 3 years.
