Daugherty Huff, Ethel “Grannie”, age 91 of Kettering, OH passed away Monday, April 9, 2018. She was born November 27, 1926 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and moved to Dayton, OH in 1941. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother devoted to her family and those close to her. She became know to everyone as “Grannie”. She started her career with Woolworth's at the age of 16 and after a year was promoted to a buyer, other jobs included International Envelope, Homemaker and assisting with Family Service Station Business, BP, and then retired from Wirth Advertising at the age of 84. She was a member of First Baptist Bellbrook and a long standing member of First Baptist Kettering.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Daugherty, her husband Leonard Huff, her infant son Donnie Ray Daugherty, four brothers, and five sisters. Survived by three sons: Paul (Sheila) Daugherty, Robert (Sheryl) Daugherty, and Patrick Daugherty; siblings Lucy, Della, Chuck; Grandchildren Terry Scott (Lisa) Daugherty, Tracy (Roger) Aber, Toni (Bob) Peterson, Leslie (Steve) Bickett, Sean Daugherty, Kelly (Tyler) VonderBrink, Jesse Sam, Jessica (Matt) Williamson, Byron (Lindsey) Daugherty, David (Jenny) Daugherty, Andrew Daugherty; Great Grandchildren Megan (Michael) Manger, Kari Daugherty, Dalton Smith, Logan Smith, Matthew Aber, Heath Peterson, Noah Peterson, Paige Peterson, Jordan Daugherty, Jacob Daugherty, Nolan VonderBrink, Presley Williamson, Avery Williamson, Chloe' Woodmansee, Madison Woodmansee, Reese Daugherty, Camille Daugherty, James Daugherty, Joseph Daugherty, Benjamin Daugherty, Anna Daugherty, and Joshua Daugherty; and three Great Great Grandchildren. Special acknowledgment to her nieces Fran Albano and Della (Jim) Wirth.
Visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH 45429 on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 am with Pastor David Faile from First Baptist Kettering officiating.
