BAKALUS, Elsie, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Bethany Lutheran Village. She was born on February 3, 1919 in Barton, Ohio to the late James and Elizabeth (Kaney) Lampert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bakalus and brothers, James and Frank Lampert. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Knisely (Collin), Sandra Bakalus, Debra Burk (Henry); son, James Bakalus; grandchildren, Tiffany (Knisely) McDonald, Grant Knisely, Lauren Knisely and Robyn Bakalus; sister-in-law, Mary Lampert; and friend, John Askovitz. Elsie was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. with interment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. Rev. Steve Kimpel officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2011.
