MITCHELL, Elaine W., 88, of Centerville passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Bethany Village. She was preceded in death by her parents Marie and Herbert Whalen, her sister Janet Eilers, and brother Herbert Whalen Jr. and her beloved husband George. She is survived by her brother John Whalen, her six children Judy Buehrle (Don), Patty Sammons (Stan), Tom Mitchell, Nancy Freking, Mary Scott (Tom), and Tim Mitchell (Pam) and 18 grandchildren Chris, Tracy and Kelly Buehrle, Jeff (Stephanie), Erin and Jennifer Sammons, Andrew, Jon, and Sam Mitchell, Beth (Brendan) Donegan, Katie (Mike) Champa and Mark Freking, Adam (Michaelyn) and Matt (Katie) Parks, Lindsey, Danny, Ben and Olivia Mitchell; great-grandchildren Jake Sammons, Lily and Charlie Parks and Shelby Parks. Elaine was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a kind heart and a beautiful spirit. She was loved by all who knew her and will be truly missed by everyone. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Mass of Christian burial, 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Church of the Incarnation.
