Edith N Brown

BROWN, Edith N., age 86, went home to the Lord Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Heartland of Kettering Nursing Home. Edith was born October 19, 1925 in Athens, Ohio to the late Clifford and Mary Hartman. She was married for 57 years to retired Dayton Detective James L. Brown Sr.; who passed away in 2002. She was also preceded in death by their son James L. Brown Jr., her brothers: Harold and Clifford Hartman, and sister, Ruth Hook. Edith is survived by her children: Richard L. Brown(Dale Sue Kennedy) of Centerville, and Carmen(Steve)Michaels of Dayton, grandsons: Jeff(Vanessa),and Jason Brown; Zachary and Vincent Michaels, six beloved great-grandchildren: Ian, Alec, Elise and Jonah Brown; Cameron Michaels, and Joey Michaels, brother Ronald(Mary)Hartman of Nelsonville, OH., and a host of special friends. Family to receive friends Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel; where service will be held 10:00AM Thursday, with Pastor Steve Spurgin officiating.
