Ross, Edgar, age 96, of Medway passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Day Springs Assisted Living Center. He was born on February 13, 1920, in McCuary County, Kentucky to Emanuel and Julia (Boyatt) Ross, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his 1st wife, Nell, his two sons, Vernon and Steve Ross, and five sisters, Alma Loudermilk, Cornelia Slaven, Mildred Everidge, Wilma Combs, Lillie Mae Livingston. Edgar is survived by his loving wife, Constance A. Ross; his daughter, Christine Atkins; a sister, Betty Lou Helton; a brother, Ralph Ross; grandchildren, Tara Atkins, Cassidy Atkins, Michael Atkins, Karen Ross Ryder, and Shelly Ross Smallwood; great grandchildren, Kristen and Lauren Ryder and Cody Ross. Ed is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WW II serving with the 69th Division of the 272nd Regiment and was retired from Eastern Express, Inc. He enjoyed being a member of the Teamsters Union. Ed was a member of the Way of the Cross Church and was a former member of Linden Avenue Baptist Church. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, who was loved by all and will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Pastors, William and Robert Loudermilk, his nephews, will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Tuesday.
