MORGAN, Dorothy, age 91 of Xenia, formerly of Beavercreek, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. She was preceded in death by infant twin sons; parents Earl and Inah (Heller) Oswald; sisters Marjorie, Betty and Lois; brothers Karl, Norman, Robert, Richard, and Edison. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Harry Morgan, daughters Laura (Dale) Stahl and Rosemary Morgan; sister Janet and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A graduate of Jefferson High School, she participated in sports and spent many happy hours at the roller rink. As an adult she danced to the music of the Big Bands. Dorothy was a secretary for Dayton Power and Light and later for Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She was an Arthritis Foundation water exercise instructor at the Xenia YMCA for 25 years. Dorothy was a voracious reader and a fierce competitor in card games and Bingo. As a member of Aley United Methodist Church, she spurred the Month of Undies to support the outreach ministries of St Paul United Methodist Church, an effort inspired by a friend’s church. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 22 from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St Paul United Methodist Church (www.stpauldayton.org/donations) or the Greene County Library Foundation (www.greenelibraryfoundation.org).
