Dorothy Jean Gilvary

Age 89, of Centerville passed away on Wednesday April 15, 2015. She was the daughter of Warren and Mary Webster (deceased); loving wife of Dr. Patrick Gilvary (deceased); also preceding her in death are her brother Warren Webster II and her sister Eileen Dicke. She is survived by her four children: Sean (Shirley) Gilvary, Williamsburg, Virginia; Maureen (William) Blanton, Woodstock, Georgia; Pamela (Joseph) Boston, Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Kathleen (John) Weber, Concord, Ohio. Nine grandsons: Sgt. Patrick (Ellen) Gilvary, Clarksville, TN; Joshua (Stefania) Gilvary, Cambridge, England; Mark (Jen) Flavin, Canton, GA; Joseph Boston, Edina , MN; Matthew Boston, Minneapolis, MN; Michael Boston (Cassie Krause) Hermantown, MN; Nicholas (Julie) Weber, Tembagapura, Papua, Indonesia; Michael Weber, Bowling Green, OH; Alexander Weber, Columbus, OH. Nine great-grandchildren: Sydney and Colin Gilvary, Logan Boston, Maddison and Leo Boston, Ryan and Orson Gilvary, Zoe Weber, and Will Flavin. Also her twin sister Doris Campbell, Centerville; sister-in-law Jean Webster of Centerville; brother-in-law James Dicke, New Bremen, Ohio; sister-in-law Julie Gilvary, Dayton, Ohio. Dorothy was a Girl Scout Leader, volunteer at Kettering Medical Center, associate member of the Society of Mary, University of Dayton, member and past officer of the Faculty Wives Association, University of Dayton. She graduated from Fairmont High School, Kettering, Ohio and attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She was a past member of St. Albert’s Church, St. Charles Borremeo Parish, and recently part of the St. Leonard’s Community, Centerville, OH. Her family was the love of her life, for which she thanked God every day. The family will receive friends at St. Leonard’s Chapel, 8100 Clyo Rd. Centerville, OH, from 9 am Monday, April 20, 2015 until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
