Dorothy Eileen Brown

Dorothy E. Brown, age 77 of Kettering, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Brown in 2010, parents Ruth and Pat Scales, and sister Kathy Allegrini (Larry).

Dorothy is survived by her two children and their spouses: Tim and Martha Brown, and Carmela and Chuck Rouhier, four grandchildren: Matheu Rouhier, Jacquelyn (Nick) DePew, Christopher Brown, and Thomas Brown, four siblings: Ruth Usher, Patty Clark, Bill (Marcia) Scales, and John (Debbie) Scales. She is also survived by her Great Aunt Sue Thomas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy loved playing games with friends and family including euchre, pinochle, bowling (wii and at the alley) and many more. She enjoyed travel and family vacations at the beach. She learned ceramics together with her mother. In later years her grandchildren were the light of her life.

A Memorial Service will be held in Dorothy’s honor on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 12:30 with a visitation from 11:00-12:30, all at Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills.
