RENNER, Donald W., 94, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on September 30, 2011 surrounded by his family. He is survived by the love of his life, Virginia (Ginny). They were married on February 1, 1964 at the First Unitarian Church on Salem Avenue in Dayton. Also surviving are his brother Gilbert N. Renner (Gretna); his children Janet Rajadhyaksha (Vikram), Wendel Renner (Constance), Cheryl Lyons (Charles); stepchildren Thomas Arnold (Jayleen) and Barbara Blake; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents Blanche and Oak Renner, his little boy Ricky, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Donald was born in Fishersburg, Indiana on January 22, 1917, graduated from Lapel High School, and attended both Ball State and Anderson Colleges. His career was in the printing business, and he retired from the Columbus Dispatch. He was a member of the Miami Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. He and Ginny enjoyed many trips overseas, plays and movies, ballroom, round and square dancing, and duplicate bridge. Donald was a kind, gentle, and generous man and will be missed very much by his family and friends.Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Woodland Mausoleum Chapel, 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, Ohio.
