Donald Lynn Karn

KARN, Donald L., age 76 passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Don was born in Greenville, Ohio to the late Clifford and Margaret (Martin)Karn. He was a member of the Air National Guard, and was employed as a Senior Designer with Monarch Marking System in Miamisburg for 40 years. After retiring, Mr. Don (as he was affectionately called), drove the daycare bus for Kids R Kids Learning Academy & Daycare in Springboro for the past 12 years. He was also a former member of the Springboro Eagles, and a longtime member of the Springboro Jaycees. He was preceded in death by his sister Marcia Rogers. Don was an amazing Husband, Dad, Papaw and Friend; he will be greatly missed. Don is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laura Karn, their children: Tony (Julie) Karn, and Ashley (Mark) Wolfe, grandchildren: Sydney, Chase, Taylor, Troy, Miah, Andee, Stormy, Zada, Shade, and Dax Karn; Payton Wilhelm (Wolfe), Landon and Dawson Wolfe, half-sister Kathy (Gary) Green, and half-brother Dan (Janine) Morelock. Memorial service 11:00AM Monday, December 5, 2016 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel (5471 Far Hills Ave Dayton) with Rev. Charlie McMahan officiating. Preceding the service, there will be a visitation at Tobias at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Don’s memory.
