Dominick Mauro

MAURO, Dominick, age 82 passed away Christmas Day, December 25, 2012. He was a member of the “Chaminade Class of 48”. Dominick worked in meat and food sales to restaurants, schools, and institutions, retiring in 2002. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria (Mazzei) Mauro, father, Peter Mauro, and a brother, Joseph Mauro. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn; daughter, Sherrie (John Carter); sons, Anthony (Lisa) and Michael (Meredith) Mauro; grandchildren, Tanner Hoskins, Shelby, Haley, and Brent Mauro, and Nicole Gist; three great grandchildren; a sister, Rose (Joe) Sextro; brother, Pete (Jeanne) Mauro; sister, Mary Ann Flaker; sister-in-law, JoAnn Mauro; sister-in-law Grace Culter; many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm, Wednesday, followed by a funeral service at 1 pm, January 2, 2013, Pastor Victoria Powers-Smith officiating, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Road Dayton, Ohio.
