White, Dexter H., age 86, of Kettering, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012, at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Grove City, Ohio on June 13, 1926, the son of Charles Dock White and Myrtle Ruth (Francis) White, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Martindale and two brothers, Cyril and Eugene White. Dexter is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Louise (Reynolds) White, of Kettering; two children, Margie and husband, Jim McCullough, of Beavercreek, OH and John White, of Seattle, WA; two step children, Susan Bush Welch and husband, Jack, of Huntington, WV and Ed Bush and wife, Jill of Kettering, OH; a sister, Norma Ruth Brown, of Newark, OH; grandchildren, Jackson McCullough, of Beavercreek, OH, Jami and husband, Gene Harrell, of Alaska, Robyn Welch, of Huntington, WV, Amanda Jane Bush, of Circleville, OH and Matthew Vaughn Bush, of Kettering, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dexter was retired from Civil Service and was a Ruling Elder with the Presbyterian Church in Silsbee, TX. He served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a member of Richard Montgomer Chapter of The Sons of the American Revolution. Dexter was also a member of Dalton Lodge # 578 F.& A.M. in Wilmington, OH, Ocala Chapter #29, Order of the Eastern Star in Ocala, FL, The Antioch Shrine in Dayton, OH and was a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, SJ, Orient of Florida and Valley of Ocala where he was coroneted a 33rd Degree Mason in 2001. Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday,September 11, 2012, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with his nephew, Reverend Maurice Martindale officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the services on Tuesday. Masonic Memorial Services will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
