TAYLOR, Denver, age 80 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at his home. He was born on April 11, 1931 to Ben and Nettie Taylor in Bell Co., Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldean Taylor as well as his parents; brothers, Jesse, Paul and David Taylor; and sisters, Evela Landrum and Buelah Faye Taylor. He is survived by his son, Ben (Kathy) Taylor; daughters, Deborah (Jim) Mowen, Patricia Thompson, Denise (Ron) Bragg, and Brenda (Jim) Taylor; grandchildren, Melissa, Danial, Albert and Joshua Nall, Jason Shiverdecker, Tamra Mollette, Nathan Burns, Dana Long, Ronda Bragg, Amber Wilson, Jesse and Dustin Taylor; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, James (Barbara) Saylor, John Saylor and Ronnie Saylor; sisters, Erie Pritchard, Dorathy (Don) Portinga and Wanda (Gary) Long; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends from Spaulding Road Church of God including Pastor Larry Thomas and his wife Doris. Denver was a board member of Spaulding Road Church of God where he was a member for 33 years. He was also a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Spaulding Road Church of God, 1568 Spaulding Rd., Dayton, with Pastor Larry Thomas officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011 until the time of service Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
