Dan B. Marcum

Marcum, Dan B., age 85, of Riverside, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Fort Wayne, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings: Nell Tipton of Kentucky and Anna Banister of Illinois, his loving wife Bonnie, and their daughter Linda Gale Marcum. He is survived by his six children: Brenda Goodrich (Dan) of Indiana, Jill Smith (Anthony) of New Madison, Earl Sassen (Debbie) of Indiana, Wesley Marcum of Indiana, Glenn Marcum (Joyce) of Chicago, and Greg Marcum of Kettering. Dan is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Ryan Cole Marcum and Alexandra Marcum. He was a hardworking man who took great pride in his family. Dan was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and was a proud Veteran of WWII. Dan and Bonnie were very involved in the Central Church of the Nazarene and their community. He retired from General Motors in Dayton. Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2012 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave at Fauver. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00PM and will be officiated by Pastor Gerald Volt. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Parkview Regional Medical Center Hospital's Cardiac Institute, Parkview Hospice and Miller's Merry Manor in Columbia City, IN for their compassion and care of Dad.
