Corina E. Merker, age 59 of Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2018. She was the loving wife of Michael J. Merker for 32 years. Cori was also a beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and friend. She is also survived by her parents Jesus (Jess) Amando Garcia and Angelina (Angie) Garcia of Beavercreek, her brother Rene Garcia (Erin) of Columbus, Ohio, and many relatives in Texas. She will also be missed by her in-laws Lillian Merker, James Merker, Linda Merker and Susan Navarre along with 5 nieces and nephews and their families; and her kids (dogs and cats), Zeva, Chloe, Stella and Blue. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Amando Garcia, Jr and Emilia Garcia; maternal grandparents, Roman Alaniz and Irene Valerio Alaniz; uncles, Luis Alfonso Garcia and Rene Amador Garcia; father-in-law John Merker. She graduated from Wayne High School, Wright State University and received her Masters in Communicative Disorders from the University of Akron. She worked as a Clinical Audiologist with the UC Health Physicians in Middletown and had affection for her colleagues and patients. Cori had an amazing green thumb, loved film and television, especially Star Trek and Star Wars, and had a passion for rescuing dogs and cats. She had a kind and giving heart and the friendships she made in life endured through the years. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N Fairifield Rd, Beavercreek, on Friday, June 22 at 1030 am.
