It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of devoted husband and loving father, Christopher (Chris) Lynn Bauer, who departed from our lives on January 25, 2024. Christopher Lynn Bauer was a pillar of love and strength, dedicated to his cherished wife Mary and adored daughters Antonia and Anastacia. Chris was born on November 10, 1969, in Dayton, Ohio to Rosemary Isaacs and Robert M. Bauer Jr. Chris was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. His friends and family will dearly miss him.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Moore) Bauer; children, Antonia, Anastacia (Hayden), and stepson Anderson (Ashely) Moore; granddaughter, Ahyoka Moore; mother, Rosemary Isaacs; brothers, Steve (Cyrinda) Isaacs, Ray Isaacs; sisters; Rebecca (Dewey) Edwards, Renee (Joe) Isaacs; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his dad, Lyndon Ray Isaacs; his mother-in-law, Vilma Helms, Ph.D.; his brother, Tom Bauer; and his biological father Robert M. Bauer Jr.
Chris graduated from Carroll County High School in 1989, he was an outstanding football player during his playing days. After graduating high school, he attended Eastern Kentucky University. Chris then moved to Ohio and began a career as a truck driver. Chris was employed at Bowling Transportation, where he worked for over 20 years.
Chris’s life took a beautiful turn when he met Mary Moore in 2019. Their love story blossomed, culminating in a joyous wedding on September 5, 2021. For Chris, marrying Mary was the completion of a chapter that brought immeasurable happiness and fulfillment to his life. Chris not only found a life partner but also became the loving stepfather to two wonderful daughters Antonia and Anastacia whom he loved dearly. Chris's marriage to Mary was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the beauty of blending families. Their home became a haven of laughter, shared dreams, and the warmth that only a tight-knit family can provide. Chris's love extended beyond the immediate family circle, reaching out to friends and acquaintances who felt the genuine warmth of his spirit.
Anyone who knew Chris knew that he had a passion for the Baltimore Ravens football team. Chris loved the Ravens. He rejoiced in Raven’s victories and suffered in their defeats. On game days you could find Chris in his team colors proudly displaying his allegiance to Raven’s Nation. Chris’s love for the Ravens and his admiration for his all-time favorite Raven player, Ray Lewis, will not be forgotten by those who knew Chris.
Chris was a great husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Chris was the heartbeat of every gathering and the life of the party. Chris’s infectious energy and magnetic personality lit up any room, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories. Chris had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel alive and loved. Whether he was teasing someone, dancing, or orchestrating spontaneous get-togethers, he had an uncanny knack for creating an atmosphere of pure joy. His spirit was contagious, and his zest for life was truly inspirational. Chris's love extended far beyond the surface; he was a devoted friend, always ready with a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on. Chris's absence leaves a void that will never be filled. Chris’s friends and family will forever miss the laughter and warmth he brought into their lives.
During the last months of Chris’s life, Chris grew spiritually building upon the foundation of love and faith that transcended the challenges he faced. Chris was always asking questions and seeking how to live as the Lord commanded through daily prayer and studying the word with his wife which deepened their marital bond.
Chris’s love and the memories created will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be touched by his kindness. May Chris rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that defined his life.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429, with a Celebration of Chris’s Life at 4:00 p.m.
