Charles D. Holmes Sr.

Holmes, Charles D. Sr., age 90 of Riverside, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles D. Holmes and Florence E. Voorhees; wife, Ethel I. Holmes; sister, Wilmadene Fox and brother and sister in-law, Delbert and Sadie Holmes. He is survived by his son and daughter in-law, Charles D. Jr. and Jeannine Holmes; daughter, Kathleen Holmes; grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Holmes, Patrick (Susanne) Holmes, Elizabeth (Dennis) Wojtowicz, Denise (Glenn) Teichman, Kelsey, numerous great-grandchildren, brother in-law, Dale Fox and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles retired from Ohio Bell after 36 years of service. He was a member of Spinning Rd. Baptist Church and a life member of Telephone Pioneer. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd at Grange Hall Rd. with Pastor Lou Watson and Pastor Scott Goodman officiating. Interment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends from 12:30 pm until the time of service on Friday.
