Charles Robert Gilbert

Gilbert, Charles Robert, born in Middletown, OH on Dec. 22, 1927 to Hugh and Alma Gilbert. Passed away on April 29, 2017. Preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings: Gene, Joann, and Betty. Survived by his wife of 68 years Bettie and their 7 children: Mike, Peggy(Butch) Hardison, Donna(Bob) Frazer, Barb(Rick) Wegmann, Hugh, Marty (Lisa), and Carol (Darren). Also 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, whom he really got a kick out of. He was a WWII veteran of the Marine Corps and was proud to be part of the Mason and Ormus Grotto Organizations. Also a longtime American Legion Member Post 598 and an avid sports fan. He worked in the tool and die business up until he was 80 years old.
