Charles Belcher Sr.

BELCHER Sr., Charles Ray 79 of Dayton, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, with his family at his side. Charles was born in 1943 in Dayton to the late Woodrow Wilson and Daisy (Brown) Belcher. Also preceding him in death are his stepmother Geneva (Halsey) Belcher, siblings Helen Lambert, Joe Belcher and Lois Belcher.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 59 years, Carolyn F. (Wilson) Belcher, two children, Beverly (Greg) Carr, Chuck Belcher, grandchildren Michael (Amanda) Carr, Libby Carr and great-grandson Charlie Carr. Also surviving are his sisters and brother, Betty Viers, Patty Koeller, David (Jeneen) Belcher, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Charles was a 1962 graduate of Stivers High School and was retired from GM after 31 years of dedicated service. He was fond of writing, many friends and family enjoyed receiving his cards and letters. He also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and working puzzles with Carolyn. He loved spending time with his family, especially his great-grandson Charlie.

His family will receive friends at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME, 3970 Dayton – Xenia Road, Friday October 6 starting at 11:00 am, followed by funeral services at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
