GUISE, Carolyn Jean, age 90 of Dayton, Ohio, died January 20, 2016. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Educated in Cincinnati Public School System attended Carson Elementary and Western Hills Junior and Senior High School, graduated sixth in the class of 1943. Attended University of Iowa at Iowa City for two years then transferred to University of Cincinnati in1947 where she was goal tender for the girl’s field Hockey team and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Preceded in death by her parents, Arch L. Long and Hellen B. Long; brother, Robert A. Long; son, Kevin S. Guise; and great granddaughter, Asa L. Merl. Survived by husband, R.K. Guise; children, Pamela A. Merl and Peter K. Guise as well as 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Carolyn was active in Fairmont Presbyterian Church, Girl Scouting and the Hemophilia Foundation. She was a member of PEO, Gamma Phi Beta and a former member of the Ohio Valley Doll Collectors Club.
