Born in Dayton, Ohio, Carol was a proud graduate of Julienne High School. Her professional career spanned many decades of devotion to both Kettering City Schools and the Kettering Recreation Complex. Post-retirement, she volunteered over 1000 hours for the Kettering Lathrem Senior Center. Her wonderful friend group who encircled her with love and support came from the ranks of these organizations.
Carol is survived by her children, Jennifer (Jim Davis), Mark (Neera), and Maureen; and three grandchildren, Thomas (Emma), Becca, and Neel. She loved being called “G-ma” or “Grandma Carol” and sharing in their adventures.
Aside from her human family, Carol had an endless love for dogs, treating each one like the valuable family members they were. You could not enter her home without experiencing canine love in many forms. She loved her pretty girl, Lucy, and was blessed to spend some of her final days with her favorite chocolate lab.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, David.
