Candy Lynn Howard passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Sunday, January 19, 2020. She was born on June 21, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio to parents Cola and Loretta Banks. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother Cola Banks Jr. (Deena) and her beloved dog Sassy. She is survived by her son Larry (Jennifer) Howard, her boyfriend Stan Nieport, her sisters Pam (Monte), Teresa (Ray), and her brother Jamie (Theresa), her grand-dog Frenchy and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Candy worked at multiple Dayton Public Schools over the years. Most recently she held the position as the Head Day Custodian at Belmont High School. She really enjoyed getting to know so many of the kids, teachers and coworkers over the years that became her friends.
Candy enjoyed camping, music and dancing. She lived life to the fullest and her zest for life made her one of those people that you were just drawn to. It was impossible not to have a great time when you were hanging out with “Candyland”. She loved her son, her family and her large circle of friends more than anything else in this world. Her smile, her laugh and her big beautiful heart will be missed more than could ever be expressed.
Memorial donations in Candy’s name may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
